Prices in US dollars (USD), per organization; in Portuguese they are charged in Brazilian reais (BRL), without IOF. The administrator counts as a user. Storage adds up messages and attachments for the whole organization. Paid plans have the same features; only the capacities change.

Sending limits

Each mailbox has a send limit over rolling 24-hour and 1-hour windows, scheduled messages included. Receiving has no such limit.

  • Startup, Essential and Team: up to 500 sends a day and 100 an hour per mailbox, the same on all three plans.
  • During the 30-day trial: up to 100 sends a day per mailbox.

Past the limit, sending is refused with a notice and receiving carries on. The limits protect everyone's domain reputation; there is no unlimited sending.

Transactional email API

Send email from your own app (receipts, sign-in codes, alerts) through Domailo with one HTTP call: POST /v1/emails with an API key (Bearer) and an Idempotency-Key. It is an add-on billed separately, in US dollars, independent of the mailbox plan.

  • Free: 3,000 recipients a month and 100 a day, no card.
  • Pro 50k: $16/month, 50,000 recipients a month.
  • Pro 100k: $28/month, 100,000 recipients a month.
  • Past the Pro quota, sending continues at $0.72 per thousand recipients, up to 5 times the quota; after that the API answers 429 until the next cycle.
  • Up to 10 requests per second per organization, one recipient per call, and signed delivery webhooks (HMAC-SHA256).

Requires a verified domain that can send. No attachments, batches, scheduling or templates in this version.

What is not included

  • Domain registration and renewal, purchased separately from a registrar.
  • IMAP, POP and an iPhone app: Domailo works in the browser and in the Android app.
  • Migrating your email history from another provider.

Is the price per user?

No. Domailo charges per organization: the plan price covers everyone up to the user limit, including the administrator. Pending invitations also take a seat.

How does the 30-day trial work?

Paid plans come with a 30-day trial. The card is added after you prove you own the domain, and you are only charged at the end of the trial if you do not cancel.

Is the annual plan worth it?

With annual billing you pay for 10 months and use it for 12, with the same limits as monthly. Payment is upfront, not in installments.

Can I change plans or cancel?

Yes. Changing plans shows the prorated amount first, and a downgrade is refused if your usage is above the smaller plan's limits, without deleting data. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your data is not deleted.

How many emails can I send per day?

On the paid plans, up to 500 emails a day and 100 an hour per mailbox, the same on Startup, Essential and Team. During the 30-day trial, up to 100 a day per mailbox. Receiving has no such limit, and there is no unlimited sending.

Does Domailo have a transactional email API?

Yes. The API sends email from your app with POST /v1/emails, an API key and an Idempotency-Key. There is a free tier of 3,000 recipients a month and Pro packages from $16/month, billed in US dollars and separate from the mailbox plan.
