How to use your signature
In Gmail
- Click "Copy signature".
- In Gmail on a computer, open Settings (gear), "See all settings" and the General tab.
- Under Signature, click "Create new", paste, and save changes at the bottom of the page.
In Outlook
- Click "Copy signature".
- In Outlook on the web or the new Outlook, open Settings, Accounts and Signatures.
- Create a signature, paste it into the editor and save.
In Domailo
- Click "Copy HTML".
- Open Preferences and, under My signature, choose the Code tab.
- Paste the code and save: the signature is added to the end of the emails you send.
What to put in an email signature
- Name, job title and company: what recipients look for first.
- One or two contacts, such as phone and website. Your address already shows as the sender.
- Text instead of an image: image-only signatures are often blocked or shown as attachments.
- An address on your company domain earns more trust than an @gmail one in the same signature.
One signature for the whole team
In Domailo, an admin sets a default signature per domain, filled in with each person's name, job title, email and phone. Anyone can have their own, and the personal one comes first.
